Dr. Chelsea Stone grew up on an acreage near Madden, Alberta, surrounded by animals which is where her love of this industry began. She graduated from the University of Calgary in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree, followed by a Master of Science in Epidemiology, focusing on cancer prevention and survival research related to lifestyle factors in humans. While the research she was doing was rewarding and impactful, she missed interacting with people and animals and making a direct impact on their health which prompted her to pursue her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Calgary in 2023. Here, she received the Emergency and Critical Care proficiency award for her proclivity to emergency/urgent care cases.
She has a particular affection for feline friends, especially black cats, and dogs with expressive eyebrows. She enjoys palliative and geriatric medical management and working with families to make a positive impact on the lives of both her patients and their owners. Outside the clinic, Chelsea enjoys cozying up with a good book, socializing with friends and family, hiking, and staying active, always seeking new adventures and experiences. Her furry companions include her lovable and sucky Rottweiler named Abby and her perfect, angel boy, black cat Vincent.
