I chose the veterinary field because of my love to help animals. I've always been around or with animals, so it only felt natural as my career. I went to Olds College for the Veterinary Technical Assistant program and I graduated in 2015. I have been in the veterinary industry ever since.

I really enjoy surgery and K9 behaviour cases. If there is an "aggressive" dog that comes in, I want to work with them to understand and help them to not be scared. I love that every day is different. I am not sitting at a desk from 9-5 everyday; I am able to be up and moving. This job keeps my brain busy as well and this team definitely knows how to work together and take the best care, even in very stressful times.

A fun fact about myself would be that I love to go outdoor climbing in the summer and winter months at the climbing gym. I also love to go back road camping and swimming in the summer months with my rescue pitty cross, Kauai.
