Nickie moved to the Bow Valley from Chase, BC in 2000. For the past 12 years she worked at Bow River Veterinary Centre as an Animal Care Attendant and Vet Assistant. During her time there, she soon re-discovered her love for animal behaviour and became a certified dog trainer in 2011. Although she has worked with and trained countless dogs and cats, she has also worked with a variety of other creatures – two that have made a lasting impression were a teddy-bear hamster called Diana, and Pablo – a 500lb California Sea Lion!
Nickie has recently moved to Cochrane with her partner Joseph. They share their home with two dogs, Denver and Nacho, and three cats Diva, O’Malley, and Hazelnut. When not enjoying time spent at home, Nickie loves to be out horseback riding, practicing pilates, swing dancing, or out on adventures in her Rocky Mountain backyard!
